"Sally jumps up from her back-wiggling position in the grass and dashes up the stairs. Yes! I was worried her idiosyncrasies would keep her from liking the kiddie pool. My excitement is short-lived as she skids to a stop when I move my toes and the water ripples. I coax her to me and pour a handful of water onto her long snout. She becomes a statue.
"This is going to be so much fun!" I say.
Her muscles quiver.
I pick her up and place her in the water with me. You would think I placed her in a vat of concrete."
Meet Sally, a miniature bull terrier with obsessive compulsive disorder tendencies and a gigantic grin. She loves to lick toads and my husband's face (not at the same time), and her favorite toy is the 6-foot garden rake.
This little diva has had a doggie massage, met with a pet psychic and failed a doggie painting class. Oh, and did I mention her obsession with our gas grill?
