the writing gremlins at bay. I will share easy ways to keep writing from falling to the bottom of
your list. Whether you are a beginning or established writer, this class will energize you to put
pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard!

My Stories

Writing creative non-fiction and personal essays from the heart are what you will learn in this
class. We will use your memories and images to jump-start a story, and use free-writing to
unearth those stores that need to be written. You will leave this class with a number of essays in
progress, as well as the knowledge of where to submit them.

Writing For Magazines

Do you want to write for magazines? In this class we will dissect the magazine market, discover
salable ideas, and create queries that sell. You will leave with pitches in editor-ready shape to
submit.

Writing Down Your Memories

Do you want to write your memories down so they can be passed on to your children,
grandchildren and beyond? Are your children urging you to write down some of your stories?

Many of you have thought about it and vowed that you will get to it "one of these days."
Well, "one of these days" is here!

This class will help you organize your memories into themes and get you started writing them
down. The class will also give you vital information about what to do with your writing. Self-
published books make great gifts for your family and we will show you how to put yours
together.
