| Introduction to Novel Writing Weeks One - Three This is for the first-time novelist. It will involve lecture material and exercises designed to help the new novelist jump into their first draft. You should leave the workshop with the story line for your novel, along with the necessary plans for writing and finishing your manuscript. Novel Writing II: People, Places and Plot Weeks Four - Six This workshop will focus on creating believable characters, making your dialogue come alive, developing a strong plot, and writing compelling scenes. Getting Published Weeks Seven & Eight You have your manuscript written and edited. Now what? Entering the world of publishing can be a bit like walking through a maze. Let me be your guide. This workshop will cover the where and how of the publishing market. Written, professional critique At the end of the workshop, , participants can submit up to 10 pages of their manuscript for evaluation (at one time). This evaluation will identify strengths and weaknesses in the writing, as well as recommended options designed for improvement. Total cost - $160.00 Workshop will begin upon receipt of class cost.
